The knockout phase play-off draw for the UEFA Champions League has unveiled thrilling matchups, igniting excitement among fans and teams alike. Manchester City, finishing 22nd in the inaugural league phase, will face off against the reigning champions Real Madrid. The first leg will take place at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester on February 11, followed by the return leg at the Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid on February 19.

Other notable fixtures include Celtic hosting Bayern Munich on February 12, before traveling to Germany for the second leg on February 18. An all-French encounter sees Paris Saint-Germain take on Brest, while Juventus will challenge PSV Eindhoven. Feyenoord is set to meet AC Milan, and Atalanta, last season`s Europa League winners, will face Club Brugge. Sporting of Portugal will go head-to-head with Borussia Dortmund, and Monaco will seek revenge against Benfica after their earlier defeat in the league phase.

The top eight teams from the league phase, including Liverpool, Barcelona, Arsenal, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, Lille, and Aston Villa, have already secured their spots in the round of 16. The winners from the knockout phase play-offs will join these elite teams, with the draw for the subsequent rounds scheduled for February 21. The round of 16 matches are set for March 4/5 and 11/12, leading into the quarter-finals on April 8/9 and 15/16, and the semi-finals on April 29/30 and May 6/7. The grand finale of the Champions League is slated for May 31 at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
