Chen Qingchen and her new partner Wang Tingge are gearing up for a challenging second-round match in the women’s doubles at the German Open 2025. They will face Malaysia`s Teoh Mei Xing and Go Pei Kee, who are looking to capitalize on their recent momentum. Chen, a gold medalist from the Paris Olympics with former partner Jia Yifan, has had limited play since then but remains a formidable presence on the court.

The Chinese duo`s only previous outing together was at the Asia Mixed Team Championships, where they narrowly lost to Japan`s Arisa Igarashi and Ayako Sakuramoto. Meanwhile, Mei Xing and Pei Kee, currently ranked 47th in the world, advanced to this matchup after a solid first-round victory over Germany`s Selin Hubsh and Amelie Lehmann, winning 21-12, 21-14.

The German Open, taking place from February 25 to March 2 at the Westenergie Sporthalle in Mülheim an der Ruhr, boasts a prize pool of USD 240,000.
