Ellington gets out-of-court settlement after crash

James Ellington, a former British sprinter, was awarded an out-of-court settlement following a motorcycle accident in 2017 that left him with permanent impairments.

The 38-year-old, an Olympic racer in 2012 and 2016, was involved in an automobile accident in Tenerife that resulted in a shattered pelvis and two broken legs.

He returned in 2019 with the intention of competing in the Olympics in 2020, but he was compelled to retire the previous year.
