Clara Liberman Shines at Spitzenleichtathletikmeeting

Clara Liberman`s stunning win at the Spitzenleichtathletikmeeting underscores France`s dominance in middle-distance athletics.

Clara Liberman delivered a breathtaking performance at the 2025 Spitzenleichtathletikmeeting in Lucerne, clinching victory in the women`s 800 metres with a remarkable time of 1:59.25. The French athlete showcased her tenacity, narrowly edging out Poland`s Angelika Sarna, who achieved a personal best of 1:59.39. This thrilling finish not only highlights Liberman`s prowess but also cements her status as a formidable competitor on the international stage.

In the men’s 1500 metres, French runner Pierrik Jocteur Monrozier put forth an impressive effort, finishing just behind Portugal`s José Carlos Pinto, who won with a time of 3:34.60. Jocteur Monrozier`s 3:34.95 reflects the strength of French middle-distance running, a theme echoed throughout the event.

The competition drew a stellar lineup, including Jereem Richards, who triumphed in the men’s 400 metres with a swift 45.11 seconds. Léonie Pointet also shone brightly, winning the women’s 200 metres in 22.89 seconds, outpacing her rivals from the Bahamas and Great Britain. Meanwhile, the European Athletics U23 Championships continue to captivate fans, providing a platform for emerging talents to shine.
