India`s wrestlers make history, dominating the U-23 Asian Wrestling Championship with a stunning medal haul.

In a stunning display of athletic prowess, the Indian freestyle wrestling team has etched its name in history by clinching the Champion Trophy at the U-23 Asian Wrestling Championship in Vung Tau, Vietnam. The men’s team showcased their strength with gold medal victories from Nikhil in the 61 kg category, Sujeet in the 65 kg, Jaideep in the 74 kg, Chander Mohan in the 79 kg, Sachin in the 92 kg, and Vicky in the 97 kg weight class.

Not to be outdone, the Indian women’s wrestling team also shone brightly, securing a remarkable total of 10 medals across all weight categories. The standout performances included four gold medals won by Priyanshi Prajapat (50 kg), Reena (55 kg), Shrishti (68 kg), and Priya (76 kg). This exceptional achievement not only highlights the depth of talent within Indian wrestling but also secured the Champion Trophy for the women’s category, marking a historic moment for the nation.
