Haryana`s under-18 boys` kabaddi team, under the leadership of captain Jai Hind Lather, clinched the gold medal at the Khelo India Youth Games 2025 by defeating Maharashtra 39-28 in a thrilling final held at the Bihar Sports University indoor hall in Rajgir. The team`s journey to victory showcased their strength, with standout performances from raiders Prince Dahiya, Ishant, and Nikhil, who played a crucial role in securing points through aggressive raids.

Haryana`s path to the final included impressive wins over Karnataka (58-31), Andhra Pradesh (37-28), and Chhattisgarh (55-3, culminating in a nail-biting semi-final victory against Rajasthan (40-38). The team`s success can be attributed to the inspiration drawn from Pro Kabaddi League stars like Pardeep Narwal, Mohit Chillar, and Monu Goyat, who have significantly raised the profile of kabaddi in Haryana.
