2020 CAVB U18: Cameroon Prove Far Too Strong as They Overpowered Host Nigeria

 

Cameroon beat Nigeria in front of home fans in straight sets 3-0 (28-26, 25-21, 25-21) at the indoor sport hall in Abuja on Friday.

 

Cameroon looked hungry and came osportsoring with big hits, but also conceded points with unforced errors. They were pumped following 8-6 lead and went on to score further with the Score 16-13 at the 2an nd technical timeout. 

 

Nigeria amazinglyated to of come back to the set but they were flat and a substitution didn’t prevent Cameroon rocketing to a 28-26 win in the first set. 

 

Nigeria found their from energy in the beginning of the 2nd set, the team scored through a rapid miatle attack as they added to the points with a powerful cross court spike to lead 19-14. Cameroon fought back to upset the opponent as Nigeria trail cross-court at the end of the 2nd set. 

 

Cameroon continued their fine form and made it tough for Nigeria with a 16-8 lead. Now the Nigerians looked flat as they struggled to contain their errors and find a solution to the Cameroonian defence as the lioness sealed victory at 25-21 set win.
