Zambia U20 Gets Down To Business In Eswatini

The Zambia Under-20 Men’s National Team got down to work in Eswatini with the first training session at Somhlolo National Stadium.

Coach Chisi Mbewe’s charges commence their campaign on Friday against Mauritius in a lunchtime kick-off before playing Eswatini on Sunday.

The final group match will be against Botswana on October 11 with the table toppers qualifying to the semifinals of the TotalEnergies U20 AFCON Egypt 2023 | COSAFA Qualifier.

Mbewe said his lads are looking forward to the assignment that doubles as an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

"We don't have any injuries in the team, the team looks sharp, the response is overwhelming from the boys, and we are looking forward for the game on Friday,” said Mbewe

"The training has been going on well and as the technical bench we have been reminding our boys the reason why we are here and we know that the competition won't be easy, but we need to prepare and fight.”

Top two teams at the three-group tournament will qualify to the TotalEnergies U20 AFCON Egypt 2023.
