Zambian athletes who participated at the Africa Para-Badminton Championship held in Kampala Uganda from 19 to 24 September have minted a total of six medal.

OYDC media reveals that the team won 1 silver and 5 bronze medals at the Championship.

The championship had 13 countries participating among them Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Egypt, Zambia, DRC, Uganda, Central Africa Republic, Eritrea, and Ivory Coast.

Zambia minted medals through Josephine Zulu, Martha Chewe, Vienna Hamuchenje, Lucy Kamanga and Innocent Chabala.

Team Captain Vienna Hamuchenje says the competition was tough adding that her teammates did not want to disappoint the nation by not coming back home without any medals.
