Freeport Hold United In Goalless Stalemate In Liberia Orange League

Freeport held Cece United in goalless draw on match Day 2 of the Orange 1st Division league in what was an absorbing contest, nonetheless no goal could separate the two sides at the ATS as they settle to a point apiece.

It was a first point for both team and probably the best result on the night after the two sides lost on the opening day of the new season and try looking for a positive result.

In a contest in which chances were far and few from each other, United slightly looked better in the second period with Francisco Pajebo hitting the base of the post with a header, Delton Kollie shooting wide from close range inside the box, and substitute Patrick Kessor drilling his effort two and half miles over the top after the Freeport goalkeeper Trokon Tenner was completely off the line.

Freeport midfielder Alfred Sleh forced a brilliant one handed save from United goalkeeper from a dead ball situation in retaliation, but there has to be only one result, a draw, which both Samuel Sumo of United and caretaker coach Alphonso Moore of Freeport were satisfied with the result.

Freeport face Muscat on Match Day 3 while United have a tough trip to Floyd Stadium to face Nimba Kwado.
