Aisha Falode Seeks To Consolidate on The Gains of Women Football As An Elected Exco Member of the NFF

 

 

 

The Chairperson of the Nigeria Women Football League, Aisha Falode, has declared her intention to join the race for a seat in the Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation in the September 30 Elective Congress slated for Benin City, Edo State.

 

Falode, the only female appointed Executive Committee member of the present NFF, said at, the presentation of intention to senior colleagues and friends of her primary constituency - the media , that she decided throw her hat in the ring in the list of Nigerians seeking elective positions into the executive committee of the NFF because of her desire to effectively build up women's football both at the league and national team levels.

 

"I want to consolidate the gains , sustain the progress we have made at the present NFF and push for more reforms, development and growth for the girl child who is looking for the opportunities in the game for self growth,  education and empowerment. 

 

The General Secretary Dr Sanusi has done well , we will  support his programmes and vision for a professionally run and vibrant Sectariat to consolidate our gains.

 

My push and platform for a more improved and excellently run reforms for women football can not see fruition without the mention of FIFA council member Amaju Pinnick that saw the genuine passion and drive for a better women football in Nigeria and Appointed me as the Chairperson of the NWFL. 

The support by the minister of Sports Sunday  Dare , Dr Sanusi and every member of the NFF executive committee has been tremendous as the only woman in the board.

 

I want to be a real stakeholder in Nigeria Football Federation, with real stake and not limited by the status of an appointee. For me I want to be fully involved in the decision making and implimentation of developmental programmes in Nigerian football".

 

Falode, who is aspiring for NFF exco seat from the Edo State Football Association, noted that, the idea behind her aspiration for the seat is to make sure Nigerian football professional existence is not shut down.
