Team Nigeria add another Gold medal to their medals on Sunday as  Rafiatu Folashade Lawal was in dominant form in women's 59kg Weightlifting in 2022 Commonwealth Games.

Rafiatu did it style breaking three gamed records to lift a combined total of 206kg to clinch Gold.

Earlier on Edidiong Joseph Umoafia clinched Bronze for Nigeria in the men's 67kg Weightlifting event. Umoafia lifted a combined 290kg (Snatch, Clean Jerk) to get on the podium. 

Nigeria now have two Gold medals and a Bronze in the ongoing 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
