Bare City Coach Lukman Shuaibu, have switched gears and have now signed a two year contract with All Stars FC of Kaltungo, ahead of the Adamu Yola Gombe South Unity Cup.
Coach Shuaibu, whose team was runners up in the 2020 edition, cited a change of environment as to what informed his decision. "Actually, I just wanted to change environment. I don't have any anything against them. Let it not look as if we have grudges. I needed to move from place to place in order to garner more experience from Billiri to Kaltungo. I might decide to join Balanga, by next year, who knows?"
In the latest revelation, Shuaibu said that he did not have any discussion with Bare City FC, but only decided he wanted to move on when he received a letter of invite from All Stars FC who needed his services."
Head Coach of All Stars FC of Kaltungo, Nura Sani who were third place winners in the 5th edition last year disclosed how they're preparing to up their game this year.
"Our team have always risen to the occasion when it comes calling. We have been champions twice, runners up once and on two occasions we were third. Based on our previous performances, we are working towards making the team more formidable, registering some players I have more confidence on in order to lift the coveted trophy once again."
"I have some new signing and replacements, especially in the case of my captain Paul Haggai, who because of age and may not be able to play actively for me."
On signing of Bare City coach Lukman Shuaibu, Nura said: "because I have two or three plays and he came along with them, I think that this is a plus to my team. For them as his players, he will understand them better and seeing him on the bench would spur them to put up their best performances."
The 2021 Adamu Yola Gombe South Unity Football Cup, kicks off on 20th November, 2021 at the Chief Olusegun Obasanjo Stadium.
