[Ghana] Great Olympics won’t accept any further payment from Hearts – Olubori Commodore.

The Wonder Club have insisted Awako must return to the club as Hearts failed respect their obligation in the agreement.

General Manager of Ghana Premier League side Great Olympics, Olubori Commodore, has insisted the Wonder Club won’t accept any further payment from Hearts of Oak in the raging saga between the two clubs.

According to Olympics, the agreement between the two clubs have been automatically terminated following the Phobians failure to meet an October 2, 2021.

Hearts of Oak are yet to officially respond to the claims by their city rivals.

Commodore told renowned broadcast journalist Prof E.K Wallace on Ghana- Accra Base Radio Station Asempa FM’s SportsNite show  that the club won’t go back to the negotiations tables with the Phobians.

“We won’t accept the payment from Hearts of Oak if they decide to pay now because the date has expired. They have done this to us in the past. I think in the transfer of Laryea Kingston they did the same thing and we knew they could potentially do what they’ve done. We had to take them to court to retrieve that money,” he said.

“The date fell on a weekend. If they wanted to pay they could have contacted us to inform us to grant them an extension,” he added.

Hearts signed Awako on a two-year deal in August 2021.

Olubori further confirmed that Awako’s contract with Olympics will run out on October 22.

“His contract with us will run out on the 22nd of October but we have the first option to decide whether we will re-sign him or not that is if he does get a foreign deal,” revealed.
