Tokyo2020: Kenya Joins Other Africa Countries On Medals Table

Kenya has gotten her first two medals in the ongoing Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan after  Benjamin Kigen open the East Africa country  Medal tally with a bronze in Men's 3000m Steeplechase 

Moroccan, Soufiane El Bakkali finished first with a time of 8:08.90 after clearing the final water jump with ease while Ethiopia's Lamecha Girma finished settle for silver.

Hellen Obiri wins Kenya's second medal at Tokyo 2020 Olympics. She finished second to bag Silver in the Women's 5000M final.

Dutch Sifan Hassan was too strong for the African contingent she competed  1500m heats in the morning, the Dutch representative had no match in the final sprint of the 5000m, taking the gold in 14:36.79. Hellen Obiri claimed the silver for Kenya, her second Olympic silver after Rio 2016, as Gudaf Tsegay of Ethiopia followed in bronze.
