[Nigeria] Volleyball: Hand Sanitizers To Be Distributed to Spectators as Nigeria Prepares to Host a Continental Showdown

 

Abuja, Nigeria, February 28, 2021- The Chairman media and publicity of Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Kehinde Lamidi says that hand sanitizers will be distributed to spectators and players during the U18 Girls and U19 Boys African Nations Volleyball Championship in Abuja that will kick start from March 1st to March 9th 2021.

 

Lamidi revealed that on no occasion will selected spectators be allowed into the hall without their face mask.

 

A board member representing South/West  noted that individuals will be stationed at the entrance of the hall.

 

He said, "The leadership of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation has made arrangements to distribute hand sanitizer to spectators, players and officials who will be attending the nations cup. 

 

"We do not want to take any chances and we are strictly following the COVID-19 guidelines laid down by the Federal Ministry of Health. If you are coming to the hall without your face mask, be rest assured that you will not be allowed because we do not want to risk the lives of our players".

 

Lamidi said the facilities, equipment and lighting for the Nations Cup are already set to host the games.

 

He said, "This is the first in Africa that a country will host two age grade tournaments at the same time. The facilities, equipment, lighting and terrane are already in good shape; we are only expecting the participating teams to arrive the country on Monday 1st of March
