Fred Kajoba Kisitu has relinquished his position as head coach of Vipers Sports Club after sixteen months at the helm.
The Venoms made the news public on their social media channels, as well as their website after 9:30pm on Monday evening.
“The Vipers Sports Club Management has this evening received news of the verbal notice of resignation from it’s Head Coach Mr. Fred Kajoba Kisitu after today’s evening training session.” reads part of the club statemate.
The club also confirmed assistant Paul Kiwanuka who was hired by the gaffer will continue to act on his behalf as the Venoms continue to prepare ahead of the coming Uganda Premier League and Uganda Cup.
“In the meantime, the playing staff and other members of the technical bench are in high spirits and preparing for the club’s forthcoming competitive engagements in the Uganda Premier League and Uganda Cup competitions.”
Kajoba, who led the Venoms to the 2020/21 SUPL title, joined Vipers SC last year in January after taking over from Edward Golola who was sacked due to poor performances.
He leaves the club third on the standings with 56 points just two adrift log leaders Express Football Club and into the quarter finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup
