We are taking it game after game – Hearts coach Samuel Boadu

Accra Hearts of Oak stretched their lead at the top of the league log over rivals, Kotoko to two points after beating Berekum Chelsea 2-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The match day 27 saw midfielder, Benjamin Afutu rise high to head the Phobians opener from Salifu Ibrahim’s cross on the 9th minute.

In form striker, Kwadwo Obeng Junior smashed home the double with his left foot for the second highest league holders on the 27th minute after receiving a pass from Daniel Afriyie Barnieh.

The 2000 CAF Champions League winners reclaimed the top spot after the result.

Coach of the side, Samuel Boadu says his side is taking each game as it comes.

“What we need is the three points, it’s very important and playing with Berekum Chelsea is not an easy match.

“People may think that they are not in a good position so it is easy but it is not easy.

“The teams that are down are really doing well.

“So we Hearts of Oak we are playing match after match and we are doing our thing, we are not competing with any one.” Samuel Boadu said.

Hearts of Oak have now jumped back up into first with 49 points, two better than rivals Kotoko who drew goalless against Aduana Stars at Dormaa on Saturday.

Hearts of Oak must now shift attention to the Accra derby against Great Olympics for match day 28 on Sunday, June 6 at 6:00pm.
