Stephen Amankona's Last Strike Sink Legon Cities At Dormaa Stadium.

Berekum Chelsea starts the second round on a higher note after humbling Legon Cities by 2-1 at the Nana Agyemang Badu II Stadium in week 18 of the Ghana Premier League.

 
 
The game started with both teams on top of their performances leaving a balance game in Dormaa with both teams looking to take the lead in the early stages of the game.

The Bibires once again with a fine break on the right, skipper Stephen Amankona launched in a decent cross trying to locate Stephen Sarfo at far post but Paul Atta Adjei rushed on that one and his strong touch flew high off the crossbar.
 
The home team at a point in the game became really dangerous forcing the Legon Cities players to sit back and defend and also allow their opponents do all the possession.

Legon Cities on the move now, a long pass upfield finds Hans Kwofie who holds on to find Elvis Opoku but his long pass was to wide calling goalkeeper Sekyere Gregory to action who comes off his line to collect that one.
 
Finally, the host had what they were looking for after so many attempts, Bright Amponsah run through the Royals defence and lobbed over goalkeeper Fatau Dauda to break the deadlock of the game just on the stroke of half time.
 
Back from recess, the Royals came really strong hunting for the equaliser as Michael Ampadu's cross was cut out by the Berekum Chelsea defence.
 
Substitute Kofi Owusu controlled a pass, tried to go in for goal but his effort was gathered by the visitors goalie.

Legon Cities serging forward, a long bass to pick up the run of Hans Kwofie but was caught by the assistant line two who had his flag up for offside.
 
Edward Kpodo left all alone in their area, he deliberately lifted the ball up and head to his goalie who collected and resulted into a wasted indirect free kick.
 
On the 76th minute, Hans Kwofie finally brought Legon Cities back on level terms to make it 1-1 after heading from Justice Anane's cross.
 
Just four minutes after getting the equaliser, captain Stephen Amankona restored Berekum Chelsea's lead with a tap in from a close range to make it 2-1.
 
The visitors broke on a counter in the dying embers of the game, a cross from the left was not dealt with properly with Michael Ampadu's follow up drive going straight into the net but the referee strangely ruled it out for offside which left coach Bashiru Hayford and his other back room staff angry.
 
It ended with Berekum Chelsea running out with all three points from Dormaa.
