Ghana Black Stars have secured a place in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations after recording a 1-1 draw against South Africa at the FNB stadium.

 
CK Akonnor’s men were under huge pressure in the first half but the poor finishing from the hosts saw them spared. In the second half, Ghana drew first blood.

Mohammed Kudus beat his marker after being teed off by Benson Anang and drove the ball into the net from close range in the 49th minute.

Three minutes later, Percy Tau finished off a quick counter attack to bring the match level. Bafana Bafana pushed for another goal but the visitors held on for the draw.

With 10 points earned, Ghana go through to the main tournament on head-to-head basis.
