Democratic Republic of Congo side, TP Mazembe are officially the champions of the CAF Women’s Champions League Morocco 2024.
A highly tactical and hard fought 1-0 victory in the final played in El Jadida’s Stade Ben Ahmed El Abdi against former champions and hosts, AS FAR saw the DR Congo side crowned the new champions of Africa for the first time – wiping away tears of their 2022 group stage exit.
The Congolese Club became the third team after Mamelodi Sundowns and ASFAR to win the Women's Continental Football Championship.
MAMELODI SUNDOWNS 2021 (South Africa)
The first edition of the tournament was launched on 12 September 2020 after CAF cancelled the 2020 Women's Africa Cup of Nations at a virtual executive meeting on 30 June citing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on association football in Africa as the reason and rather approved the creation of the CAF Women's Champions League which South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns won the inaugural title with a 2-0 against Hasaacas Ladies of Ghana in Cairo in 2021.
ASFAR FC 2022 ( Morocco)
The second edition was won by AS FAR of Morocco after beating then-defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns 4-0 in the final that was played at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, Morocco on 13 November 2022.
MAMELODI SUNDOWNS 2023 ( South Africa)
The 2023 edition which is the third edition was won by South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns who reclaimed their title 3-0 against SC Casablanca from Morocco.
TP MAZEMBE ( DR Congo 2024)
TP Mazembe of the DR Congo beat Host AS FAR 1-0 to win the fourth edition and their first title.
