Cameroon beat Morocco in straight Sets of CAVB U19 Africa Volleyball Nations Championship

 

 

 

 Cameroon emerged as they got first win 3-0 (25-12, 25-22, 25-17) against Morocco in the ongoing U19 African Nation’s Volleyball Championship on Saturday at the indoor sport hall in Abuja. 

 

An important match to win for both teams as they look to position themselves in the race. Cameroon looked hungry and came out scoring with big hits, but also conceded points with unforced errors. 

 

The lions of Cameroon ambitiously nailed the 1st set 25-12.

This is was momentum game and Cameroon wrestled it back into their favor. Block after block, point after point as they dominated. Good block-outs, spikes and a brilliant save showed Morocco were here to fight. They closed the gap to 22-23, however couldn’t secure the last points and Cameroon won the 2nd set 25-22.

 

It was a close tight affair in the 3rd set, the young enthusiastic Moroccan side put up a stiff resistance to come back to the game, 16-15, they trailed in the second technical timeout.  The Moroccan coach injected some substitutions to stop any threat from the West Africans, but it was too late as Cameroon sealed it 25- 17.
