India`s women`s kho kho team dominates Bangladesh 109-16, advancing to the semi-finals of the 2025 World Cup.

The Indian women`s kho kho team has secured their place in the semi-finals of the 2025 World Cup with a resounding victory over Bangladesh, finishing the match with a score of 109-16 at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium. Led by captain Priyanka Ingle, the team demonstrated their dominance throughout the match, particularly excelling in Turn 2 with an impressive Dream Run that lasted over five minutes.

In the opening turn, India quickly established a commanding lead, scoring a half-century of points. The experience of players like Nasreen Shaikh and Priyanka Ingle was pivotal in keeping the Bangladeshi team on the back foot. The second turn saw India score a remarkable 6 points during their Dream Run, extending their lead significantly to 56-8.

India continued their strong performance into Turn 3, where a spectacular skydive from Reshma Rathod helped the team reach their fifth consecutive match with over 100 points in the tournament, ending the turn with a score of 106-8. The final turn was equally one-sided, culminating in a three-point Dream Run and sealing the match at 109-16. This victory not only highlights the team`s skill but also sets the stage for an exciting semi-final clash scheduled for Saturday.

In the men`s division, Nepal also advanced to the semi-finals with a decisive win over Bangladesh, while Iran and South Africa secured their spots with impressive performances against Kenya and England, respectively.
