The injury occurred during the second innings of the match in Sydney, where Bumrah had already made a significant impact on the series, taking 32 wickets at an impressive average of 13.06, earning him the title of 'Player of the Series.'

The specifics of Bumrah's injury remain uncertain, with medical assessments needed to determine whether he is dealing with mere muscle spasms or a more severe stress fracture.
