She is set to face either world number one Aryna Sabalenka or Czech player Marie Bouzkova in the next round.

In the men's draw, Grigor Dimitrov moved into the semi-finals after Jordan Thompson retired due to injury while trailing 6-1, 2-1. Dimitrov will compete against Czech Jiri Lehecka, who secured his spot in the semi-finals with a straight-sets win over Nicolas Jarry.

Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard also made headlines by reaching the Brisbane semi-finals, defeating Jakub Mensik in a tightly contested match. Mpetshi Perricard's performance included 19 aces and no break points faced, setting him up for a clash against either top seed Novak Djokovic or American Reilly Opelka.

At the ASB Classic in Auckland, Naomi Osaka is scheduled to play against Hailey Baptiste, with Osaka currently ranked No. 56. This match is anticipated to draw significant attention as Osaka continues her comeback.

In the Canberra Open, Sijia Wei advanced to the final after defeating Alexandra Eala. Wei will face Japanese player Aoi Ito, who previously overcame Nuria Parrizas Diaz in the semi-finals.
