Wrexham Injury Boost Ahead of Festive Fixtures

Wrexham AFC has received some welcome news on the injury front as they prepare for their festive fixtures. Manager Phil Parkinson provided updates on the status of midfielder Elliot Lee and goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo, both of whom had been dealing with injuries.

Elliot Lee, who has scored six goals this season, was forced off the field during Wrexham's 1-1 draw against Bristol Rovers due to a muscle complaint. However, scans have revealed that the injury is only minor, and Lee is expected to be back in action soon. While he will miss the Boxing Day clash against Blackpool, Parkinson indicated that he should be available for the match against Wigan on December 29.

Arthur Okonkwo, the first-choice goalkeeper, has been recovering from a broken wrist but is making progress. Okonkwo has started doing handling work in training, which is a positive sign for his return. Although he will not be available for the festive fixtures, his recovery is on track.

Wrexham currently sits third in the League One table, just two points behind second-placed Wycombe, and these injury updates provide a boost as the team aims to maintain their strong position.
