Charlotte 49ers Outlast Murray State in Double Overtime

In a thrilling matchup at the Diamond Head Classic in Honolulu, the Charlotte 49ers edged out the Murray State Racers 94-90 in a double-overtime game on Monday night. This consolation bracket game saw both teams put up a fierce battle, with several players standing out for their impressive performances.

Nik Graves of the Charlotte 49ers had a career-high night, scoring 31 points and going a perfect 12 for 12 from the free-throw line. Giancarlo Rosado also had a career-best performance, contributing 23 points off the bench. Rosado's clutch 3-pointer with one second left in regulation forced the game into overtime, tying it at 71. Robert Braswell IV added 11 points to the 49ers' tally.

On the Murray State side, Kylen Milton led the way with 28 points. AJ Ferguson scored 21 points, and Terence Harcum contributed 17 points. Despite Harcum's efforts to tie the game in the first overtime with two free throws, he missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer, sending the game into a second overtime.

The 49ers' strong free-throw shooting was a key factor, as they made 34 of 36 attempts from the line. This victory brings the Charlotte 49ers to a 7-5 record, while the Murray State Racers now stand at 6-6.
