Ahmed Musa`s Late Winner Lifts Kano Pillars

In a thrilling encounter at the Sanni Abacha Stadium in Kano, Ahmed Musa scored a stoppage-time winner to secure a 2-1 victory for Kano Pillars over Niger Tornadoes in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL). Musa, who returned from a two-game absence due to illness, broke the hearts of the Tornadoes with his 93rd-minute goal.

The match saw Rashid Alhassan put Kano Pillars in the lead in the 30th minute, with the home team going into the interval ahead. However, Niger Tornadoes equalized in the second half through Mohammed Aliyu, setting the stage for Musa's dramatic late winner. This goal marked Musa's sixth of the season since he rejoined Kano Pillars on a short-term contract in October.

The win propelled Kano Pillars to seventh position in the NPFL standings with 25 points from 17 matches, level on points with sixth-placed Ikorodu City but with an inferior goal difference.

In other matches, Sunshine Stars edged past El Kanemi Warriors 1-0, while Bendel Insurance also secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Lobi Stars.
