Luka Dončić`s First Triple-Double of the Season

Luka Dončić marked a significant milestone in the 2024-25 NBA season with his first triple-double of the campaign. In the Dallas Mavericks' 137-101 victory over the Washington Wizards on Thursday, December 19, Dončić contributed 21 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, one block, and two steals over 32 minutes.

This performance was part of an impressive streak for Dončić, who has been averaging 29.3 points, 8.7 assists, 7.8 rebounds, 2.2 steals, and 3.6 three-pointers per game over his last 12 games. Despite a recent left heel contusion that kept him out of practice on Wednesday, Dončić showed no signs of slowing down.

The Mavericks, under coach Jason Kidd, have been leveraging their deep roster to manage Dončić's workload effectively. Players like Kyrie Irving, Naji Marshall, P.J. Washington, Spencer Dinwiddie, and Jaden Hardy have been instrumental in running the offense and giving Dončić more rest.

However, Dončić's injury did impact his availability for the subsequent game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday, December 19, as he was ruled out due to the heel contusion.
