Eagles lose star receiver A.J Brown to knee injury

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown left Sunday's 28-23 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars with a knee injury.

Brown was slow to get up following his final catch of the game late in the first half. He had two catches for 36 yards before he was ruled out in the second half at Lincoln Financial Field.

Coach Nick Sirianni did not have an update on Brown's status after the game.

"It's always tough when he goes down because he's such a dynamic player, such a big part of this team and this offense," fellow wide receiver DeVonta Smith said. "If he goes down, I kind of get the feeling like I have to step up. For me, I'm always ready for the challenge."

Brown already missed three games earlier this year with a hamstring injury. He has two 100-yard receiving games this season and entered Sunday with 21 catches for 408 yards and three touchdowns.

Brown had 106 catches for 1,456 yards and seven touchdowns last season for the Eagles and has been one of the top receivers in the NFL since his rookie year with Tennessee in 2019.

Brown signed a three-year contract extension with the Eagles in April that included $84 million in guaranteed money.
