Alcaraz, Sinner breeze into third round

At the Shanghai Masters, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz quickly advanced to the third round with easy straight-set victories, demonstrating why they were ranked #1 in the world.
Earlier in the day, Alcaraz easily defeated China's Shang Juncheng, winning 6-2, 6-2, while Sinner defeated Taro Daniel of Japan 6-1, 6-4.
Due to a World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) appeal against a ruling by tennis authorities to exonerate him of any wrongdoing following two positive steroid tests in March, Sinner has stated that he is not in a "comfortable" situation.
