Reagor, 25, was a first-round pick selected by the Eagles in the 2020 NFL Draft. He had been with the Patriots since being signed to their practice squad last August. He was added to the active roster last October and caught seven passes for 138 yards in 11 games last season. He also added one 17-yard carry and returned seven kicks for 221 yards with a touchdown.
The 5-foot-11, 197-pound wideout re-signed with the Patriots in March. He made the teamās initial 53-man roster but was cut a day later and signed to the practice squad.
Reagor posted a picture of a Bugatti sports car in a dilapidated carport on his Instagram stories Tuesday but quickly deleted it.
Reagorās release wasnāt the direct result of the social media post. The speedy wideout had expressed similar sentiments internally leading up to Tuesdayās roster move, according to a souce.
He spent most of training camp behind JaāLynn Polk, Tyquan Thornton, K.J. Osborn and DeMario Douglas on the wide receiver depth chart, competing for a spot with second-year pro Kayshon Boutte.
