Boycott released from hospital after pneumonia

Sir Geoffrey Boycott, the former captain of England, was discharged from the hospital after acquiring pneumonia after a cancer operation.

The 83-year-old has attributed his survival to his wife's activities after receiving a second throat cancer diagnosis in June.

Boycott's family announced last month that he was "on oxygen and a feeding tube for the foreseeable" and that his recuperation had "taken a turn for the worse."
