Automatic qualification important for Lionesses

Leah Williamson, the captain of England, believes it's "really important" to automatically qualify for Euro 2025 and to avoid the play-offs, which could be "detrimental to preparations".

When Sarina Wiegman's team plays Sweden on Tuesday at 180 BST, they will be in second place in Group A3 and only need one point to qualify automatically.

The Lionesses hope to retain the European championship they captured in their own country in 2022, but a trip to Switzerland is only guaranteed for the top two teams in their group.
