Cristiano Ronaldo after Portugal vs Slovenia

Cristiano Ronaldo has declared that the European Championship he will compete in this year will be his final one.

The 39-year-old legend from Portugal is participating in the Euros for a record-tying sixth time. He has led his team to the quarterfinals, where France and Kylian Mbappé will be waiting for them in Hamburg on Friday.

After the team's triumph over Slovenia through penalty shootout on Monday, Ronaldo declared to Portuguese public broadcaster RTP, "It is, without a doubt, my last European Championship."
