Sinner subdues feisty Hanfmann to reach 2nd round

Midway through his Wimbledon first-round match against unseeded German Yannick Hanfmann, Jannik Sinner faltered. On Monday, though, the world number one bounced back to win 6-3, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 and set up a clash with fellow Italian Matteo Berrettini.

Against Hanfmann, the Australian Open winner made excellent use of his strong serve and forehand. Riding high on a single break, he won the first set easily and took the lead early in the second.
