Kasatkina beats Fernandez to seal Eastbourne title

Leylah Fernandez gave a remarkable performance, but Daria Kasatkina prevailed in straight sets to win the Eastbourne International.

In one hour and fifty minutes, the sixth-seeded Russian won 6-3, 6-4 to win her seventh WTA title at Devonshire Park.

Despite a brief comeback from the Canadian in the second set, Kasatkina, who lost to American Madison Keys in the championship match of the previous year, dominated the first set and finished the match.
