Fraser-Pryce, Jackson get off to strong starts

The Jamaican Olympic athletics trials' 100-meter heats on Thursday saw double Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and bronze medallist Shericka Jackson get out to easy starts.

Fraser-Pryce, who won the 2008 and 2012 Beijing and London crowns, finished first in Kingston with a time of 10.98 seconds.

The eight-time Olympic medallist, 37, is building momentum despite barely beginning competition in mid-June, and she is targeting a new championship at the Paris Olympics, which start on July 26.
