Yang wins first major at 75th attempt

Amy Yang of South Korea won her maiden major championship by winning the KPMG Women's PGA Championship.

At Seattle's Sahalee Country Club, the 34-year-old had a two-shot lead heading into the final round and was seven clear after 15 holes.

She shot a level-par 72 to finish on seven under, three strokes ahead of American Lilia Vu, Japanese player Miyu Yamashita, and compatriot Jin Young Ko despite bogeys at the 16th and 17th holes.
