Sabalenka powers past 'best friend' Badosa

Aryna Sabalenka battled her way past her closest friend Paula Badosa to advance to the fourth round in her pursuit of her first French Open victory.

Sabalenka, a Belarusian who advanced to the semifinals the previous year, defeated the former world number two from Spain 7-5, 6-1.

Seven breaks of service occurred in a tough and exciting first set, when both players showed off their strength from the baseline, until second seed Sabalenka closed it out.
