Gambia Hires McKinstry The Gambian sports authorities have announced the appointment of Northern Irishman Johnathan McKinstry as the new national football team coach for two years. McKinstry, 38, has previously managed other African countries including Sierra Leone, Rwanda, and Uganda. He most recently coached the Kenyan club Gor Mahia. He succeeds Belgian Tom Saintfiet, who had announced his departure in January before the end of his contract in 2026, after leading the "Scorpions" to the quarter-finals of the 2022 AFCON in their debut. #gambia,#mckinstry
