Timberwolves knock holders Nuggets out of play-off

The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Denver Nuggets, the reigning NBA champions, 98-90 in the final game of their Western Conference semi-final series to eliminate them from the playoffs.

At one point in the third quarter, the Timberwolves were behind by 20 points, but they rallied to win game seven and win the series 4-3.

The Minnesota Timberwolves will take on the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals. Karl-Anthony Towns and Jaden McDaniels both scored 23 points for the Timberwolves.
