Metro disabled access 'shame' for Paralympic Paris

A well-known French disability organization has declared that it is "absolutely scandalous" that more has not been done to enhance accessibility on Paris's subterranean rail network in advance of the Paralympics.

The Metro is a "big black spot" on the city's Paralympic legacy, according to APF France Handicap.

The International Paralympic Committee president acknowledged the "frustration," but also cited the "massive investment" made in the city's transit system.
