Ruan Pienaar is getting set to hang up his boots, about seven years after leaving Ulster and two months after turning forty.

Thought to be the Irish province's best-ever recruit, the Springbok World Cup winner has represented Montpellier, the Sharks, and the Cheetahs since saying an emotional goodbye to Kingspan Stadium due to the IRFU's blocking of a proposed contract extension.
