FAI apologises after missing head coach deadline

The Football Association of Ireland (FAI), which acknowledged that the hunt for a new men's head coach would go as far as September, has apologized to supporters of the Republic of Ireland.

Early April was the deadline that the FAI had set for announcing Stephen Kenny's replacement, who departed in November.

Marc Canham, the director of football, however, insists the process is still ongoing.
