Liverpool have been eliminated from Europe while Atalanta have advanced to their second European semi-final all-time and first since 1988.
Mohamed Salah opened the scoring for Liverpool from the penalty spot in the seventh minute after Trent Alexander-Arnold's cross hit Matteo Ruggeri in the arm, but the visitors were unable to reduce their 3-0 deficit from the first leg any further.
Atalanta vs Marseille
Marseille and Atalanta's semi-final will begin in two weeks. The first leg will be played in France on May 2 and the second will be in Italy on May 9.
The two clubs have never met in a competitive match.
