Jack Crowley stars as hosts grind out win

Fly-half for Ireland Munster defeated Cardiff in the United Rugby Championship at Thomond Park thanks to 15 points from Jack Crowley.

In a low-key opening half, Crowley scored the lone point with a penalty kick.

Ben Thomas and Thomas Young reacted to put Cardiff ahead following a try by Tadhg Beirne.

But Crowley extended Munster's lead with a touchdown of his own and another penalty, and the home team held on despite a late penalty from Jacob Beetham.
