Aston Martin will not appeal Alonso penalty

The penalty Fernando Alonso received for "potentially dangerous" driving during the Australian Grand Prix last weekend will not be appealed by Aston Martin.

Due to a 20-second penalty, the two-time world champion fell from sixth to eighth place in Melbourne.

On the penultimate lap at Albert Park, he braked unusually early into turn six, causing Mercedes driver George Russell, who was following closely, to crash.
