Medvedev in quarters, Casper Ruud couldn't do it.

The Russian Daniil Medvedev, defending champion, qualified on Tuesday for the quarter-finals of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Miami by defeating the German Dominik Koepfer (50th in the world) in straight sets 7-6 (7/5) 6-0. However, the adventure is over for the Norwegian Casper Ruud (8th), defeated by the Chilean Nicolas Jarry (23rd) in two sets also 7-6 (7-3) 6-3. Medvedev and Jarry will meet in the quarter-final.
