McIlroy hopes PIF-PGA player meeting helps

Rory McIlroy thinks that a meeting between PGA Tour board members and Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund "gets us closer to a solution" to golf's division.

The PGA Tour and the PIF, which funds LIV Golf, are currently negotiating a possible merger.

PGA player-director Patrick Cantlay confirmed that a meeting with PIF representatives will take place on Monday.
